Kathmandu the Capital of Nepal is an incredibly diverse historic city with breath-taking Newari architecture, centuries old Hindu and Buddhist religious sites along with dedicated tourist-friendly accommodations and restaurants. Stepping into Kathmandu is like stepping into another world that everybody should experience at least once in their lifetime. Kathmandu is a city where ancient traditions rub shoulders with the latest technology. The grandeur of the past enchants the visitor whose gaze may linger on an exquisitely carved wooden window frame, an 18th century bronze sculpture or a spiritually uplifting stupa. Kathmandu, the largest city of Nepal, is the political as well as cultural capital of the country. Pokhara is in the northwestern corner of the Pokhara Valley, which is a widening of the Seti Gandaki valley that lies in the region (Pahad) of the Himalayas. In this region, the mountains rise very quickly, and within 30 kilometres (19 miles), the elevation rises from 1,000 to 7,500 metres (3,300 to 24,600 feet).
Upon arrival at TIA, Kathmandu, transfer to the Hotel. After completing check-in procedures, you can have time for refreshments. Next, you’ll go sightseeing. Pashupatinath is located in Kathmandu, Nepal, and is a sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it holds immense religious significance and is a pilgrimage destination. The temple complex features intricate architecture and cremation Ghats along the Bagmati River and is a spiritual center for devotees and tourists alike. After completing our sightseeing at Pashupatinath and the completion of the evening Aarati at the bank of the Bagmati River at Pashupatinath. Guhyeshwari, also known as Guhyeshwari Devi, is a significant goddess in Hinduism, particularly revered in the Shakta tradition. She embodies the divine feminine energy and is associated with secrets, mysteries, and hidden knowledge. The Guhyeshwari Temple in Kathmandu, Nepal, is one of the most important pilgrimage sites dedicated to her, attracting devotees who seek her blessings for spiritual enlightenment and protection. Boudhanath is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Kathmandu, Nepal, and one of the worlds largest and most iconic stupas. Surrounded by a vibrant Tibetan community, the ancient Buddhist stupa features a massive mandala, prayer wheels, and a serene atmosphere, making it a spiritual and cultural centerpiece in the region. Following your morning breakfast, you’ll go sightseeing around Kathmandu. Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a historic and cultural hub located in the heart of Kathmandu, Nepal. It showcases an impressive array of traditional Newari architecture, featuring intricately carved wooden structures, temples, and palaces that date back to the Malla kings. Key highlights include the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, the Taleju Temple, and the iconic Kumari Ghar, the residence of the living goddess, or Kumari. Swayambhunath, the Monkey Temple, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Kathmandu, Nepal. Perched atop a hill, this ancient stupa is adorned with colorful prayer flags and captivating Buddha’s eyes. It holds significant religious and cultural importance, offering panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley. Patan Durbar Square, situated at the center of the city of Lalitpur, Nepal, is a cultural gem renowned for its exquisite Newari architecture. It is one of the three Durbar squares in Kathmandu Valley and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Square is full of ancient places, temples, and monuments. After having breakfast, complete the check-out procedure at the hotel. You will embark on a journey to Pokhara which is about 201 kilometers away and takes approximately 8 to 9 hours to reach. During the drive, you can enjoy the views of Greenery Hills, Trishuli River, and many more. En route visit Manakamana. Manakamana Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to the goddess Bhagwati, an incarnation of Parvati. The name Manakamana originates from two words,” MANA” which means heart, and “KAMANA” which means wish. Pilgrims believe that visiting Manakamana fulfills their wishes, and the journey is often made via a unique cable car experience, providing a thrilling ascent through dense forests and steep terrain. The town exudes a serene ambiance, inviting spiritual reflection amidst natural beauty. Continue driving to Pokhara. Upon arrival at Pokhara check-in to the hotel and rest. Overnight at Hotel. [B/D]
Early in the morning, you will embark on a drive to Sarangkot, a popular tourist destination located approximately 13 kilometers from Lakeside in Pokhara. This vantage point offers a mesmerizing view of the city as it awakens, especially during sunrise. Situated at an altitude of 1600 meters, Sarangkot provides a stunning panorama of the surrounding landscape, including the snow-capped peaks of the Annapurna Range, Machhapuchhre (Mt. Fishtail), and Dhaulagiri. The golden hues of the morning sun illuminating these majestic mountains create a truly magical and tranquil scene that is perfect for capturing memorable moments. After witnessing the sunrise at Sarangkot, you will return to the hotel and have breakfast. Afterward you’ll go for sightseeing around Pokhara. Bindabasini Temple nestled in Pokhara, Nepal, stands as a testament to the region’s spiritual heritage. Dedicated to the Hindu goddess Bindabasini, it draws pilgrims and tourists alike. Its pagoda-style architecture, adorned with intricate wood carvings and colorful motifs, captivates visitors. Set against the backdrop of the majestic Himalayas, the temple exudes serenity and mystique. Devotees flock here to offer prayers and seek blessings for prosperity and protection. The temple’s sacred pond adds to its allure, reflecting the temple's grandeur. As a symbol of devotion and tradition, Bindabasini Temple continues to inspire reverence and awe in all who visit. Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave is a cave located opposite Davis Falls. The water from Davis Falls passes through this cave. Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave is one of the major attractions in Pokhara. It’s also rumored to be the longest cave in Nepal (2950 meters). The cave is said to be discovered in the 16th century. The cave sits across Davi's fall, and inside the cave, one can hear the thundering sound of water. After sightseeing, we will head to Tal Barahi Temple. Davis Falls is a beautiful waterfall located in Pokhara. It is named after a father whose daughter drowned in the waterfall of an overflow of water. Its other name is Patal KO Chango which means Underworld’s Waterfall. Davis Falls is one of the most visited places in Nepal. Fewa Lake also known as Phewa Tal, is a freshwater lake in Nepal formerly called Baidam Tal located in the south of the Pokhara Valley. It is the second-largest lake in Nepal. It is the most popular and most visited lake in Nepal. Phewa Lake is located at an altitude of 742 m (2,434 ft) and covers an area of about 5.7 km2 (2.2 sq mi). The lake is also famous for the reflection of Mount Machhapuchhre and other mountain peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges on its surface. The Tal Barahi Temple is situated on an island in the lake. Tal Barahi Temple is situated on a small island in the Phewa Lake surrounded by marvelous views. This Hindu temple in Nepal is dedicated to Goddess Ajima in the form of a boar calledBarahi who pierces her evil enemies with her pointed tusks. Barahi is pictured with the face of a boar with a cup in one hand and fish in the other. After breakfast, you will return to Kathmandu through the same route, which is around 201km and takes 8–9 hours, depending on the road conditions. During the trip, we will observe some stunning scenery, including green forests, bending roads, and riverbanks. Upon arrival at Kathmandu, you’ll drive to the hotel.
