Bodh Gaya ( Near the 2nd Largest ancient city of Bihar, Gaya, which is a holy place for people of Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, and Islamic faiths) is a religious place of pilgrimage associated with the Mahabodhi Temple (In 2002, it became a UNESCO World Heritage Site) Complex in Gaya district in Bihar, India. It is famous as it is the place where Gautama Buddha is said to have attained Enlightenment (Pali: bodhi) under what became known as the Bodhi Tree. Apart from places of religious importance, Gaya has got a lot more in the form of ancient caves built way back in the 3rd century BC, lakes and museums.
Pick up from Bodhgaya Railway Station and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the time is free for leisure and staying overnight.
After breakfast, visit the MAHABODHI TEMPLE built by Ashoka the Great in the 3rd Century BC. There are seven sacred and important spots where Lord Buddha spent 7 days each at one place after attaining enlightenment. Visit the SACRED BODHI TREE & MONASTERIES. Later visit SUJATA VILLAGE -The young lady Sujata, daughter of Senani (Head of Uruvela village). Visit to NIRANJANA RIVER. Return to the hotel and stay overnight.
After breakfast checkout from the hotel and transfer to the railway station.
