Amritsar ( founded in 1577 by Ram Das, fourth Guru of the Sikhs) is the chief pilgrimage destination for Sikhs and the largest holy city for Shikhs in the northern Punjab state of India. It is a major commercial, cultural, and transportation centre. It is well famous for being the centre of Sikhism and the site of the Sikhs' principal place of worship—the Harmandir Sahib, or Golden Temple. A well-known historical monument called Jallianwalla Bag is situated very near to the Golden Temple,e where on April 13, 1919, British colonial government troops fired on a crowd of unarmed Indian protesters, killing 379 of them and wounding many more. Now a days People from all over the country visit this place to witness the Beating Retreat Ceremony that is held every day before sunset.

Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: Arrival Amritsar

Pick up from Amritsar Railway Station and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the time is free for leisure and staying overnight.

DAY 2: Amritsar Local - Atari

After breakfast in the morning, visit the Golden Temple, then Jallianwala Bagh and Durgiana Temple. Have your lunch and transfer to Atari Border to watch the beating retreat ceremony. Return to the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 3: Drop at Railway Station

After breakfast checkout from the hotel and transfer to the railway station.
